Recent Morrisville Ale & Trail Association Hikes

On Saturday, August 16th, we have a good turnout for our hike around the Washington Duke Gardens.
The friendly people of Warrenton invite us to explore their stately homes on May 10th.
From August 11 to 14th we visit the River House on Grassy Creek for a mini vacation.  Dinner is served Wednesday through the weekend.
The Al Buehler Trail at the Washington Duke GC is just as sweet as ever it was on May 3rd.
On August 9th we previewed the restoration work at HOST.  Look for the 2nd Annual Celebration of the Car Show on Sept. 27th.
After our return from Utah, we hike one of the old standards: Johnston Mill on April 26th followed by lunch at the Saratoga Grill.
We return to Bynum and Pittsboro on August 2nd, a hot Summer day.  MATA sees Clyde Jones's critters and has lunch at Virlie's Grille.
Enjoy a photojournal of our trip to Utah, Nevada and Arizona from April 14th to 21st.  We took in Zion, Antelope Canyon, a cruise on Lake Powell, and Monument Valley.  Almost too much to take in.
At about the same date, July 26th, as last year we did a walk from Foster's Restaurant up to the Ackland Museum to take in the latest exhibits.
On April 5th, after two inches of rain, we hiked through the Cabe Lands and dried out at George's Garage.
Jane Chatterjee lead our extended hike around the grounds of Ayr Mount on July 19th.  It was a beautiful day for reflections.
Rainy days don't discourage our MATA hikers.  We shortened our hike to a circle around Duke's East Campus on March 29th.
Thunder boomers over Durham yesterday gave us a look at Cedar Falls at full flow on July 5th.
On Easter weekend, March 21st to 23rd, our merry band visits Roanoke and gets a glimpse of the Art Museum of Western Virginia.
On a hot June 28th we tour the Sarah P. Duke Gardens and enjoy the new Japanese garden trail.
March 15th MATA hikes from Sutton Station to Martin Luther King Blvd. on the ATT.  Lunch at Nantucket Grill and Bar.
We revisit Marion, Virginia on June 13th through 15th for the Song of the Mountains bluegrass music; and a hike of Hungry Mother State Park.
Three inches of rain drench Durham!  We hike the Bobbitt Hole to see the Eno River at full flood on March 8th.
MATA meets at Lake Johnson in Raleigh and hikes around the lake beating any incoming storms on May 31st.
Finally we fulfill the Raleigh contingent's desire for a hike around Lake Johnson, March 1st.  A pretty hike it is too!
Just after a morning drizzle on May 24th, we are led by Jane into the wonders of Blackwood Mountain just north of Chapel Hill.
On February 22nd we drive down to the Atlantic Towers in Carolina Beach and enjoy the weekend hiking in Southport and Wilmington.
We revisit the Bobbit Hole on the Eno River on May 17th, a brilliant Spring day.
Rodney leads us around Occoneechi Mountain on the new Loop Trail on February 16th, followed by the Saratoga Grill for lunch.
