South

South of RTP is another big pie piece of North Carolina, this region includes Jordan Lake and Cary nearby and Fayetteville/Fort Bragg further out.  Interstate 95 runs roughly down the middle of this pie piece, right through Fayetteville and Lumberton.  At its outer limits, this octant sweeps all the way from Laurinburg near the South Carolina border to Wilmington in the east.
